Mr. and Mrs. Joshua Briggs

Josh and Jonathan grew up together. They were even in kindergarten together! Josh has been a great friend to Jonathan and I for a long time! We were so excited for him when he met Jennifer. They are a perfect match! Jonathan was the best man in his wedding on July 16th at the Ryan Nicholas Inn. We had a great time celebrating with them! Here are some of my favorite pictures :)

Don't they all look so relaxed! Rehearsal time!

Jennifer ready to walk down the isle! I loved the director/owner of the Ryan Nicholas Inn...she was all business and knew how to run it!

Tomorrow you will be doing the real thing!

Wedding day!! Nana and Papa came too! Madison had to carry Nana's purse :)

LOVE this picture of them!

Here comes the beautiful bride!

Seeing her groom :)

Josh's parents and grandparents

Exchanging rings. We were up with balcony with Luke and Madison. We had Nana, Papa Neves, Gabby, and Papa Jackie up with us too! Luke and Madison did great! They said "Hey Daddy" a few times but it was cute! I had a lot of snacks to keep them quite but then I was afraid they were going to drop the over the railing on someone!

This picture makes me tear up because I feel like we are going to turn around and they will be having a father/daughter dance at her wedding....oh stop it!

This is how our family picture turn out now :) Madison not looking, Luke singing, and me telling mom how to work my camera. At least Jonathan looks good!

Easy Josh! There are kids watching!

Cute!

Congratulations Josh and Jennifer!!! We love you guys!

Sweating Like Pigs

Luke, Madison, and Alli OH MY! This past week, on the hottest day of the week, Carrie and I decided to take the kids to the zoo. We had a great time seeing all the animals and watching the kids play together. The zoo has a great water mister that the kids can run through to cool off and I think Carrie and I both came very close to running through it!! The kids were soaked but were cool :) Here are a few pictures from our morning...

It is always fun to try and get 3 two year olds to stand still, smile, and look at the camera!

Checking out the ducks

Giraffe!

I think they were worn out by this point! They all look a little sweaty and tired :)

Madison feeding the goat

Luke feeding the goat...up close and personal!

I think the goats were pretty full and they were not wanting too many crackers. Luke just kept yelling, "Come here goat!" as loud as he could!

Luke and Alli were done! They opted to ride and relax :)

We enjoyed our day at the zoo and a yummy lunch at Chick-Fil-A with you guys!
Thanks for hanging out with us!

Fast Cars and Pretty Flowers

This past Saturday Jonathan took Luke to see his first movie, Cars! Since they were going to have a boys day Madison and I decided to go get our toenails painted! Jonathan and I both had a great time spending some one on one time with them. It made me realize that we need to do it more. Luke and Madison were SO excited about going! They kept kissing each other bye over and over...at least 40 times! The best part was when Luke stood by the door waiting on Jonathan to come home (bc he had to go into work for a few hours). Luke kept saying, "I hear Daddy! Bye Mommy! Have a great day!" I would tell him that Daddy wasn't home yet and he just kept standing by the door listening and waiting. So sweet!!! Here are just a few pictures from our dates :)

The boys ready to go see Cars! Jonathan said Luke did great! He had a back pack full of snacks!!

Kissing Daddy bye

She sat SO still!

Miss Jenny painting her nails

Adding a flower

Me and my sweet girl (with her funny smile)

This picture and memory will forever make me laugh!! When Jenny was painting her fingernails she told her to keep her fingers spread apart. Well, when she was done this is how Madison sat to let them dry. Then when we were leaving she was still doing this and Jenny and I both told her she could relax her hands but no she walked out the door like this and rode in her car seat like this! So funny! She did not want to mess them up!!

Finished product

Pretty little toes :)

We had to show someone!! We drove to my Aunt's house who lives just down the street from where we got in done. She was so excited to show Uncle Greg and Aunt Chatty Bell (Sharon). She was holding her little foot out here to show Greg. The rest of that day and Sunday she showed everyone we met!

And I Wonder Why??

I seem to always have a camera in my hands or at least in arms reach and I think they are starting to get tired of mommy always wanting to take a picture because they have started doing this....

Running from it!!!

I am going to get your picture!!

Quick pause...

...and she is off again! I had fun chasing her around the house trying to get her picture!

Maybe they run because they know I take pictures like this that will come back to haunt them one day! Naked and playing with the dollhouse :) Who knows!

"Good Job Daddy!"

Luke and Madison got a new play set! They LOVE it and have really enjoyed playing on it! It was a labor of love for sure! We kept hearing people say it was worth the money to have the people put it together but if you know my husband you know that those words don't sit well with him! Pay someone money for something that he can do himself??? I love that about him and he continues to amaze me with everything he can do. He is so talented and driven! So...when we opened the box an saw all 5,000 pieces of wood and the 75 page direction packet I looked at him and said "Are you sure you don't want to pay someone to do this?" Father's Day weekend, instead of laying back on the couch and relaxing Jonathan (along with our great friend Josh and my amazing step-dad Jackie) tackled the play set! Now, every time Luke and Madison go outside or see the play set out the window they yell "Good job Daddy!" It is so sweet! So, THANK YOU Daddy for working so hard and building something so great!

So this is the instruction manual!!! Wow!

Great helper!

Madison working with her Papa Jackie

Love this picture!

Thank you Josh for all your help!!

When Luke and Madison woke up from their nap they wanted to watch the guys work so we took out their little table and snack so they could watch! They just kept saying "Good job!"

Swings were up and working!!! They loved swinging and watching the guys!

Luke testing out the telescope.
Jonathan put some finishing touches on it Sunday, Father's Day. Luke woke up with a very high fever so that canceled our full day of plans :( Poor guy! We still let him come out for a few minutes to check out the play set since they went to bed the night before with everyone still working on it.

"Helping" Daddy :)

Raising the flag

This little girl LOVES swinging! You know how they make baby swings...well they should make toddler swings so she can swing for hours! JK, I love pushing her!

Down the slide, silly!

You go girl!

So if you are in the area, COME OVER AND PLAY!!!!

Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head

One morning after we ate breakfast, we walked in the garage to see the rain falling. Then this happened....

"Officer, mommy said it was ok"

It was a great morning and a great way to start out our day! I highly recommend it :)
