Lake Weekend at the Lee's

We spent the last weekend in August at the lake with friends.  Bruce and Lauren invited our family along with the Epting's, Vickery's, Pascazio's (but the stomach bug kept them from coming), and Michael Wright and Margaret to join them.  We had a great time watching all the kids play!  Here are some pictures from our weekend :)

Do these faces look innocent to you??

A lot of little mouths to feed!

Do they get any cuter???  I could take her home with us!  Campbell is adorable!

It is funny how they start up their own games!  They were running up and down this hall!  Then we would yell things like 'hands up' or 'stomp' and they would come down the hall doing it.  Really funny and it entertained them for a while!

We went to check out the water Friday night before bed

Madison thought it was time to skinny dip...oh the things her daddy teaches her!

When the kids are down, we don't mess around!  Just Dance time!!  Mr. McLovin' it was getting it done!

I really have 30 of these pictures!!!  Great faces guys!

Matthew once again marching to the beat of his own drum

Good morning!  Madison thought Jonathan needed to hold her babies for the picture :)

Hannah braided Madison and Campbell's hair!  Oh I need to learn!!!  So cute!

These sweet girls had to stick together!

 Madison loves her some Bertie!

"Can we go out now??"

 The water was pretty chilly!

Luke going on a jet ski ride!

 Madison's turn

I love this picture of Luke and Maggie!

 Just relaxing

A fun, surprise visit from Julie, Chris, and their precious new baby Charlie!  It was so great to meet him and see Julie as a mom!  She is perfect for the job!

Rub a dub dub!  Our weekend wouldn't be complete with out a community tub :)

Luke and Parker practicing their ABC's

They even found some time to enjoy some books in the hallway!

I love this picture because I have one just like it when I was little with my dad's feet!!!

A quick swim before we headed home Sunday

What they come up with!  They said they were 'fishing' with the noodles!!!

"Mommy, look what I caught!"

Thank you again Bruce and Lauren for having us up to your families lake house!
 It was WONDERFUL as always!!!

Surprise!! Are We Really Turning 30??

August 20th was a great day FULL of surprises!  At 1:30 we had a surprise birthday lunch for my sweet friend April Ellenburg then I got right in the car and drove to Mt. Pleasant to make it to a surprise party for another precious friend, Jessica Coleman (or as I call her Mattice) that evening at 6:30.  I ended up spending the night in Mt. Pleasant and going to their church Sunday morning before I drove back.  I have to say that I really enjoyed the nice, quiet car ride there and back :) Jonathan was an amazing dad and husband for keeping Luke and Madison for the night so I could go be with a great friend for such a special occasion!  Here are a few pictures of the day :)

April and I celebrating her 30th!!

It was so good to see Laura and Shelley and little Miss Allie!

 Happy Birthday April!!!

 SURPRISE!!!!!

Way to go Paul!  You pulled off a great surprise!

 SOOOO good to see her!

 Ella and her mommy

 Happy Birthday Mattice!!!

A cute slideshow...this picture makes me laugh!

After going to their amazing church, Life Park, we grabbed a quick lunch at Jack's Cosmic Dogs...YUM!  It was so good!  I did not want to leave them but I wanted to get back to Greenville to celebrate my sister's birthday that evening!  WOW, a lot of birthday parties!  I LOVED it :)

My sister's birthday was on the 21st so we had dinner at my mom's house so all the kids could play and we wouldn't get kicked out of restaurant for taking all the high chairs:)

 We ate lots of cake!!!!

Jonathan's dad actually has the same birthday as my sister so Monday night they came over to our house to celebrate!  So, we ate more cake!...

 Opened more presents...

And spent more time with family!  This is Jonathan's precious grandmother, Nanny

So apparently a lot of people were VERY thankful in November because 9 months later we have a calendar full of birthdays!!!  I loved celebrating each one of them!  Now if I could just freeze time because in just a week I will hit the big 3-0 :(

Greenville Drive Baseball Game

The weather was perfect for a night in Downtown Greenville!  We enjoyed pizza at Mellow Mushroom then walked to the Greenville Drive game!  The night started off with a minor shower that canceled our picnic in Falls Park but pizza was a perfect plan B!  During dinner the clouds moved on and the weather was cool and clear!  We took the whole gang...Jonathan and I with Luke and Madison, my sister, Ty, Parker, Dylan, Austin, and my dad and brother (in town from Atlanta)!  Our night ended with a bang too :)

Luke, Madison, and Austin catching a ride on the way to the game on Ryan, Dad, and Ty

Reedy Rip'It!  Madison did not want anything to do with him!

Luke and Austin loved the Chick-fil-A cow!

 Jennifer and her buddy Luke

Dad with Dylan...I love how he is just chilling!

Daddy and Madison enjoying the game

 Jennifer with Parker

You can't go to a game without getting the ice cream in the plastic baseball hats!  They thought they were big stuff with their own cup!  Yum!

 Madison sharing with Papa

 Madison finishing every last drop!

Cousins with the hats on....nice sticky heads!

I am so blessed to be their mom!  They are so much fun!!

So as you could tell from some of the pictures above we were sitting in the right outfield...right where the fireworks were going off!!!!!!  So...it was REALLY loud AND we starting getting hit by falling debris!  We quickly moved away and soon after all the kids were snuggled up to us with ears covered!  Next time we will know to move away!

Madison snuggled up to her Daddy

Thank you Dad for treating us to such a great, fun night!
We had a blast celebrating B for Baseball with you!

B is for Brownies and Baseball

Last week we had fun with the letter Bb.  We read fun books like The Baby BeeBee Bird and Brown Bear, we ate yummy food like broccoli, biscuits, blueberries, and bologna, and we visited a bagel shop, a bakery, and went to a Greenville Drive baseball game!  It was a fun week!  I will say that it has been really funny working on letters because we will talk about them throughout the day and then when Jonathan comes home I will ask them to tell Jonathan about what letter we are talking about and for some reason Luke always says "U"!!  So even if all of this is not sinking in at the young age of 2 it is still fun for them...and me!

 Making brownies with Daddy

Luke helping Daddy stir

Yummy!

Luke and Madison enjoying their brownies on the deck

We went to Greenfield's Bagel shop with my step-dad Jackie

They thought they were big stuff sitting by themselves in the booth eating their bagels.  They wanted Jackie and I to sit on one side and them on the other!

Luke, Madison, and Papa at Greenfield's

My mom kept them one day while I ran some errands and they had fun with the letter B too!  They made bead bracelets, the letter B with glitter glue, and played with bubbles!  Way to go Gabby!

They also enjoyed the banana and strawberry milkshake Gabby made them!

We made ABC french fries!  They had fun singing their ABC's and helping me put them in order.  They were cute but tasted pretty yuck!

We made bumble bee footprints!  They were adorable!!  Thank you Pinterest...my new addiction!

We ate alphabet soup :)

We met Daddy for lunch one day to eat barbecue at Little Pigs Bar-B-Q

We went to a local bakery called Gretchen's ABC Cakes and Bakery

Luke loved his cupcake!

Madison helped me make homemade banana bread!

"Is it done yet?"

I am not a baker but I must say that it was pretty tasty!!

Stay tuned for a post about the Greenville Drive Baseball Game!
