Do They Get Any Cuter??

Really?? Do they?

They are finding new things to get into :)

So we tried sidewalk chalk and it lasted about 30 seconds before they were crawling off to find something else. Note to self...not ready!

Madison checking out the hat her cousin, Austin, gave Luke.

Papa Jackie got Luke and Madison this AMAZING new pool! They loved it!

Gabby helping Madison go down the slide. It is a little slick! I think it may take a while to get use to!

Luke is WALKING!!!! On Father's Day he took his first steps! He is so proud of himself!

Say CHEESE! This is what Madison does when we tell her to say cheese! It is SO funny!! She is also ALL over the place! She took her first steps when she was 10 months old but had not taken off on her own yet. Well, after she saw Luke start to walk I guess she decided that he couldn't be ahead of her so the next day she started letting go and taking off. Now she wants to walk everywhere! It does crack me up how she wants to hold things while she walks...it makes the falls a little harder!

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day!
We had a very busy Father's Day weekend! Jonathan and I started off on Thursday going to Atlanta for the night for our anniversary. We had a great time eating good food, enjoying a Braves game, and doing some shopping. We came back Friday night and on Saturday we had the babies dedication. Sunday we had lunch with my dad and went swimming (I didn't take a single picture...I was so upset!). Then Sunday night we drove to Iva to have Father's Day with Jonathan's dad and family. We had a great time!

You have heard the quote..."Any man can be a father but it takes someone special to be a dad." I think that is so true. It really does take someone special because it is not easy. There is a lot of weight put on your shoulders when you become a dad. You have to provide and take care of this growing family. That is why some men check out. I am so grateful that I fell in love...in high school...with a man that I knew would one day be an amazing dad. When I married Jonathan I knew we needed a few years on our own but I also couldn't wait to see how he would be as a dad. When we were at the doctor's office and they told us we were having twins I was the one that cried because I was shocked and scared out of my mind. Jonathan was the one that calmed me and said that is one for each of us to hold. He has proven to me day after day just how committed he is to our family, our marriage, and to God.

Happy Father's Day to a wonderful dad! I can only hope that Luke will turn out just like you and that Madison will look for a man like you one day!

We love you!

Baby Dedication

On Saturday, June 19th, 2010 we dedicated Luke and Madison to the Lord at our church, Grace Church. It was a wonderful, sweet, and very challenging service. We were so happy to share this day with our small group and all of their wonderful babies that were dedicated too. We also shared the day with family that surrounded us, laid hands on us, and prayed for Jonathan and I as parents during the service. We know that we are not owners but managers of Luke and Madison. God has allowed us to raise them and to direct them like arrows to go and make a difference for the Lord. Jonathan and I are committed to lead by example and our prayer is that Luke and Madison will love the Lord with all of their heart, with all of their mind, and with all of their strength!

May the Lord bless you
and protect you.
May the Lord smile on you
and be gracious to you.
May the Lord show you his favor
and give you his peace.

Summertime Means...

Eating yummy, fresh strawberries

Getting together with great friends! (Other kids from our small group from church)

Playing inside on really hot days and starting to play dress up with mommy's socks

Finding little things that make us wonder how does that work?

Sharing your new discovery with your sister

Making sure the grass gets enough water

Playing outside without a shirt on

Pulling hair up in a rubber band for the 1st time. Just call her Pebbles.

Taking a wagon ride to the pool

Taking a swim after dinner just before bed

and finally....Summertime means....spending time with family and watching your children discover new things!

Happy 1st Day of Summer!

Memorial Day Weekend

We headed to the lake for the long weekend! It was great! A house full of family, yummy food, and good boat rides. I really enjoyed sitting on the porch in rocking chairs with my mom and sister laughing at who knows what while the guys took care of the kids inside. Luke and Madison loved being on the water and took their first swim in the Hartwell waters! Here are some fun pictures from our weekend!

Luke, Sadie.....Sadie this is Luke :)

"I love her so much I could just squeeze her!"

Austin is the BEST cousin! I can already see Luke looking up to him!

This is Madison's new cheese smile! She likes to show off her only 2 teeth that she has had since 10 months old!

Luke was so proud to hold his banana!

Cool guys with his shades! Luke now has 6 teeth!

Thanks Papa for our cool glasses!

They were SO funny in these life jackets! They could not move! I felt so bad, but hey, safety first :)

Soaking up the sun and fun!

Me and my girl

As you can tell Madison was not too crazy about the water at first!

Then she warmed up to it once she knew she was safe in her Daddy's arms

I love Luke's face! He was having so much fun!

Group picture...my mom took the picture and Papa Jackie was on the jet ski

Madison and her Aunt Jenny

Those lips crack me up!

I think by the end of the summer they will be ready to ski!
